One-to-One Artist Mentoring

Why One-on-One Support Matters

Sometimes it helps to speak your thoughts aloud and step outside your own head. To sit with someone who understands the work, the doubt, and the long stretches of uncertainty.

Asking someone to come alongside your creative process takes trust. You may not know the questions yet, or what feels clear or unclear. Mentoring can offer a place to begin sorting through the work, your process, and what may be asking for attention.

One-on-one mentoring is available for artists seeking clarity in their work, process, and direction.

Mentoring sessions are scheduled as availability opens.

Please reach out through the form below, and we will schedule a time together.

Mentoring Reflections

Mentoring with Kathleen has been a life-altering experience. My initial goal was to focus on my work and find my artistic voice. The day before our first meeting, I was diagnosed with ALS.

As my abilities continued to change, Kathleen helped me find new ways to keep creating. Step by step, she guided me through each challenge with knowledge, patience, and compassion. She taught me how to lean into change rather than resist it, and how to honor my work within the reality of my journey.

I have never experienced such profound transformation in such a short time. Kathleen gave me confidence in my work, even as I faced difficult changes. Her knowledge and compassion will forever be etched in my soul.

Let me start by sharing that I am new to painting. As a new artist trying to find a direction was difficult. Kathleen’s mentorship program drastically helped me. So worth it!

Personal mentoring has been much more beneficial than taking a class or many classes. Kathleen's feedback has been so exact and specific to what I was trying to do. The sessions have helped move my broad idea of wanting to go more abstract to a more focused idea of moving in the direction of figurative abstract. I highly recommend!

I feel like I am having a chat with an old friend when I speak with her - but even better because Kathleen has an abundance of art knowledge and experience to share. She offers suggestions for ways to focus and grow that are suited to my particular needs. I am looking forward to continuing my art exploration with Kathleen.
